Global Payroll
Global payroll is the consolidated administration of employee pay, tax withholding, and statutory contributions across multiple countries. It requires local entities and local payroll expertise in every country of employment.
Global payroll operators either own local entities in each country or coordinate a network of in-country partners. Unlike EOR, global payroll assumes the client is the legal employer — it handles execution, not employment liability. The correct architecture is often hybrid: EOR for countries with 1–5 employees, entity + global payroll once headcount justifies the setup cost.
